Sustainability in Older Suburbs.

Community buildingThe Challenge: If we are to come closer to the goal of sustainability, how can we modify existing communities? What about the 1910 craftsman’s, the post-war houses, the 1970’s suburbs, and the 1940's walk-ups - can they be retrofitted to meet new goals and reflect our new values? How can we take the lessons of co-housing and eco-villages and translate them for use in our older neighbourhoods?
